Cafe Mohrenkopf in Trier

The Café Mohrenkopf is a great address for delicious cakes with a great view over Trier. We were already happy to be guests before the reopening and are still happy to come, we were very happy that it will continue. The viez was great and we had great afternoons in the café ❤️. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to an event, but we'd like to make up for that. The only criticism I have is that you are a little more strict with your guests. Because middle-aged people have not yet understood that a table that has not yet been cleared is not disinfected, and just because you have a more beautiful view outside, you double the work for the employees and that's where the crux begins, we have 1 hour on it waiting to be allowed to order and to fill out our contact form. We were seen and asked whether we had already ordered or would like a card, by 3 very nice service staff, we had time and it wasn't a big problem for us, but it was not the waitress but really the guests who keep coming back for double and triple work caused by changing places too often and thus the effort of disinfecting and observing the hygiene measures was poor. If the guests sit down and they should stay seated, it works wonderfully in other restaurants and cafés and there is a pandemic, klaus and Roswitha can sit in a tent and don't have to occupy a 6-seat table with a view.

A very nice cozy cafe. Great view of the city of Trier. Wine spritzer, cake and the cappuccino are highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The name of the cafe is absolutely fitting, because it is located on the Mohrenkopf mountain above Trier. Thank you that we could be guests! Highly recommended if you are hiking on the Moselsteig Trail.

We did a nice little hike up to the cafe, where you will be rewarded with a beautiful view! The waiter kindly moved us when a table became available on the terrace.

As in the past, 🍰 good and coffee good, you sit outside in a large pavilion 😉. We will be back.....

A place to feel good with cult potential. I think your campaign to support local artists in Corona times is great ... you also show a good hand in the selection. Table reservations work reliably ... Small evening menu, but enough. I'll be back!

Well where do I start? Eigtl, Café Mohrenkopf is one of the reliable and tasty cafés in Trier. But today they disappointed us immensely. The idea of ​​organizing an open air concert is great, but then you should do it well. We didn't get a chance to hear the great band because we were sitting backstage. Anyone who came up with the idea of ​​building the stage in the middle of the beer garden should be fired. We weren't allowed to change tables because everything was reserved. Nevertheless, people were allowed to sit directly in front of the stage without a reservation. The drinks came after more than 30 minutes. I feel very sorry for the band. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to vent our disappointment. A real shame!

Very nice beer garden, excellent service, great view under old trees. The menu with local specialties such as Viez also offers something special. Unique in Trier in this combination.

After a long drive up the hill past the Robert-Schuhmann-Haus and Mariensäule you reach the Cafe Mohrenkopf. There aren't many parking spaces. But there is the possibility to park on an adjacent hedge. You can sit very well in the cafe's beer garden. Unfortunately, the view of the valley is covered by a butterfly lilac. The waitresses were friendly young and quick. The beer garden is really recommendable despite the great view with obstacles.

Wonderful cakes and idyllic view of Trier. It's a bit of a walk from the Statue of Mary, but it does have some parking on site.

Amazing place.

Disappointing... attended Sunday 19th Nov around 5pm. Cake was OK (limited choice as they would close at 6), but we ordered a can of hot chocolate, cup of hot chocolate and two cappuccinos. Took service personnel a long time (~15mins) to deliver. Coffee was extremely watery and the 'hot chocolate' was near pure water/milk mixture with very little cacao. I mean, how can you mess up coffee and a hot chocolate? If you're out of coffee/cacao, just tell us and we'll order something else. Now we had to wait forever (eat cake without accompanying drinks) and got terrible drinks. Not worth the 28 euros I ended up paying. Disappointing.

Great place. Great homemade cakes. Beautiful view. Parking available. Nice for walks. I would add a good coffee, real ice creams and some healthy quick food.
